Rapper King Von was among three individuals shot dead Friday in an early morning gunfire incident outside the hookah lounge in Atlanta, officials said.
According to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, which was investigating the shooting because police officers ended up firing their guns, four other individuals were injured by gunfire.
In the parking area, two groups clashed about 3:30 a.m. in early Friday morning. And bullets were fired, officials said.
Government officials are still seeking to piece unite how the rapper, born Dayvon Daquan Bennett, killed and whether the Atlanta Police Department was involved in his death or by two other men who were also critically injured.
Atlanta Police police told in a statement, “At this time, our investigators believe Mr. Bennett was shot during the initial shootout between the two groups of males, prior to police responding and attempting to stop the shooting,”.
Mr. Bennett was sent to a hospital by private vehicle and was not among the victims found at the scene.
